Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our growing team in California. You will perform routine installation and checkout on various systems, using drawings, company procedures, and safety policies.

A productive interface with customers helps ensure confidence and satisfaction with the installation. The role requires 1–3 years of LV installer experience, ability to read blueprints, familiarity with NFPA 70/72, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm/LV Installer.
• Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.
• Experience in termination of field devices.
• State and locally required minimum certifications.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.
• Troubleshoot circuit opens, shorts, or ground conditions.
• Install and run wires, wire devices, fish walls, and doors.
• Complete paperwork and keep as-built drawings current.
