Position Overview

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled Senior Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our growing team of professionals. The installer will perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personnel analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of onsite projects, ensuring safety, quality, and performance.
• Train, mentor, and lead team members and jobs.
• Install commercial & industrial 3‑phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.
• Complete paperwork, including onsite documentation and maintenance of as‑built drawings.
• Ensure all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
• Demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication, coordinating with other departments and general contractors with little supervision.
• Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in fire alarm, voice/data, and security installation.
• Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Advanced ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and make recommendations based on field conditions.
• Advanced installation knowledge of running wire, wire devices, fish walls and doors.
• Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 & NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Customer‑focused; skilled in project and people management.
• Proficient in issue resolution.
• Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work from heights, climb ladders, stand and walk for most of the workday.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
