Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our expanding team in Maryland. You will perform routine installations and checkout on diverse systems using codes, drawings, and procedures, while interfacing with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the installation.

Responsibilities include leading projects, mentoring team members, installing 3-phase electrical power systems, and maintaining accurate onsite documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in fire alarm, voice/data, and security installation.
• Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Advanced ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and make recommendations based on field conditions.

• Train, mentor, and lead team members and jobs.
• Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.
• Install all types of electrical conduit.

What We Like About You.

• Advanced installation knowledge run wire, wire devices, fish walls and doors.
• Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 & NFPA 72 installation requirements.
• You demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication; coordinates with other departments, and GCs with little supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
• Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.
• Proficient in issue resolution.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.

Compensation: $32.00 to $48.00 per hour depending experience
