Job summary
Jobot, a leading national life safety and security provider, seeks a Fire Alarm Designer in Denver, CO. This permanent on-site role focuses on designing and reviewing fire alarm layouts, schematics, and drawings for commercial and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering, at least 5 years of fire alarm design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of codes and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of fire alarm design experience for commercial/industrial projects.
- Proficiency with layout, schematics, and drawing review.
- Knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed fire alarm designs, layouts and schematics from specifications.
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers and architects to integrate systems.
- Review blueprints and construction drawings.
- Conduct site visits to verify conditions during construction.
- Provide technical support to installation teams.
- Stay updated on fire alarm tech and codes.
- Participate in project meetings and report progress.
