Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services in Lorton, VA is seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to create new alarm system designs, update drawings, and perform redlines. The role combines design work with occasional field verification, primarily in-office, with some travel to job sites.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and FireCAD is required, Notifier systems experience is preferred, and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop new fire alarm system designs and layout drawings.
• Update and revise existing drawings based on redlines or project changes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians.
• Conduct occasional site visits for measurements, verification, or design support.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and organized project files.
