Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Digital Disbursements unit in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on building a Payments-as-a-Service platform, collaborating with a talented engineering team to deliver scalable, high-availability solutions used by internal and external clients.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in object-oriented development, hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, MySQL, and API frameworks (REST/GraphQL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years of strong object-oriented development experience.
• 4+ years of ReactJS and TypeScript experience.
• Experience with NodeJS, MySQL, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and modern web tech.
• Familiarity with AWS services and DevOps workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain highly available multi-tier platform for payments as a service.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and business partners to deliver quality solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and production platform support.
• Address scalability, resiliency, and fraud monitoring issues; respond to urgent bugs.
