Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand, seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple global teams on AI-augmented platform initiatives hosted on AWS. You will drive architectural modernization, develop technical vision, and collaborate with product, PMO and QA to deliver high-impact solutions.

Reporting to Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will guide data-driven decisions, invest in DevOps practices, and ensure scalable, secure delivery across a rapidly growing user base.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 10+ years of related technical experience with a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in team leadership.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and AI-augmented workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams spread globally.
• Keep your team unified, motivated and connected to the goals.
• Use your previous experience to help improve engineering processes.
• Handle ambiguities and guide data-driven, collaborative decision-making.
• Lead your teams to turn the technical vision into reality by collaborating with architects and other teams.
• Maintain good awareness of software engineering best practices.
• Establish and maintain a rigorous operational framework balancing feature delivery, architectural modernization, and operational efficiency.
