Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to drive cloud financial management for the Summit program. You will build dashboards, forecast costs, and deliver actionable insights to balance cost, utilization, and performance across data, AI/ML, and platform workstreams.

This remote role prefers candidates in the Washington DC area with occasional onsite client meetings. You will collaborate with engineers, product operations, and data teams to optimize cloud spend and governance in a federal context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Data Governance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Library/Information Science, or related field; or high school diploma with four additional years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience developing dashboards, reports and analytics.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FinOps dashboards and executive reporting for cloud spend, utilization, trends and performance.
• Analyze cloud consumption to identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop cloud cost forecasts and compare actual spend against projections.
• Evaluate cost-performance tradeoffs for architecture, platform, data and AI/ML decisions.
• Analyze Azure and Databricks consumption to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Product Operations and technical leads to reveal cost impact of planned work.
• Track cost savings and optimization results after implementation.
• Translate cloud data into actionable recommendations for technical teams and leadership.
• Establish metrics and reporting to improve accountability of cloud usage.
• Support FinOps practices including cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, and governance.
• Identify unusual spending patterns and work with teams to address root causes.
