Job summary

ICF Olson is seeking a Senior FinOps/Cloud Cost Management professional to join a remote team prioritizing federal cloud modernization. You will build and maintain FinOps dashboards, forecast cloud costs, and present cost optimization guidance to leadership.

Qualifications include 6+ years in dashboards and analytics, with Azure and Databricks experience. The role requires U.S. citizenship due to federal work and allows remote work with some onsite client meetings, primarily in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytics.
• Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FinOps dashboards and executive reporting for cloud spend, utilization, and trends.
• Analyze cloud consumption to identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
• Develop cloud cost forecasts and compare actual spend to projected usage.
• Evaluate cost-performance tradeoffs for architecture, platform, data, and AI/ML decisions.
• Analyze Azure and Databricks consumption to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Operations and technical leads to forecast costs before priorities are set.
• Document cost savings and optimization results after implementation.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations for technical and business teams.
• Establish metrics and reporting to improve accountability for cloud usage.
• Support FinOps practices including cost allocation, forecasting, and governance.
• Identify unusual spending patterns and root causes with technical teams.
