AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to guide engineering teams on cloud spend and optimization. The role requires aligning APAC business hours with overlaps to PST and CST, and close collaboration with R&D partners.

You will monitor spend anomalies, perform root-cause analyses, and contribute to monthly forecasts and Showback reporting. Strong written and verbal English is essential in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising and consulting directly with R&D/engineering teams.
• Cloud cost forecasting experience, aligning central forecasts with team projections.
• OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring spend.
• Cost modeling and team investment tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira for documenting investigations and Slack for real-time, asynchronous support.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation/wiki spaces and recurring reporting (Showback).
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Engage APAC-based colleagues to review monthly cloud spending and surface cost opportunities; document meetings and recommendations.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; conduct investigations and deliver root-cause analyses with optimization recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting; align central forecasts with team projections and document plans.
• Contribute to Showback reporting with cost driver insights for top spending R&D teams.
• Support Cost Awareness and Cost Education; update the wiki.
• Model team cost projections and respond to requests via Slack and email.
