AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization. The role requires overlap with APAC business hours and PST/CST windows to support global initiatives.

You will partner with R&D to forecast spend, monitor OpenAI/LLM costs, and deliver actionable cost-saving recommendations. Strong communication and Jira/Slack proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization.
• Investigate spend anomalies and document root causes.
• Partner with R&D/engineering teams for cost guidance.
• Forecasting experience with team-level projections.
• OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring experience.
• Cost modeling and team investment tracking.
• Proficient with Jira for investigations and Showback reporting.
• Maintain and document Wiki spaces and recurring reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC hours with PST and CST overlap.
• Upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary FinOps contact for R&D teams via Slack and other channels.
• Lead proactive spend reviews with APAC-based colleagues and align on roadmap vs budget.
• Investigate cloud and AI/LLM spend anomalies; produce root-cause analyses and optimization recommendations.
• Assist monthly forecasting with team cohorts; document notes and spend plans.
• Contribute to Showback reporting with cost drivers and top spenders.
• Audit and update wiki pages; support Cost Awareness initiatives.
• Model team cost projections and respond to help requests via Slack/email.
