Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a senior Financial Systems Engineer to lead administration and evolution of core financial systems, with preference for the Wheeling, WV office and consideration for 100% remote US locations. This is a hands-on, senior engineering role reporting to the Manager of Database Administration.

You will manage on-prem and cloud (Azure/AWS) SQL Server environments, build integrations, and support end users across Finance, Billing, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience administering, configuring, and supporting enterprise financial systems.
• Solid SQL Server experience including writing queries, stored procedures, indexing, and reporting.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, PowerShell, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of APIs & integration techniques (REST, ETL) for enterprise systems.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize core financial systems (billing, GL, AP, etc.).
• Maintain user security, access controls, and data governance.
• Monitor jobs, interfaces, and system health; diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide advanced technical and functional support to Finance staff and attorneys.
• Design and maintain integrations between financial systems and related enterprise applications (CRM, DMS, time/billing).
• Support cloud migrations and SaaS platforms.
