Job summary

Gusto is seeking an experienced financial services compliance professional to lead product compliance across consumer and commercial offerings. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Operations, and business leaders to design, operationalize, and scale practical compliance solutions that support responsible innovation.

You'll report to the Head of Financial Services Compliance and help shape AI-enabled workflows for monitoring, testing, and risk identification,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in-house compliance or regulatory roles in financial services.
• Deep expertise in consumer protection and payments regulations (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, NACHA).
• Experience scaling compliance programs using AI and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic compliance partner to Product, Engineering, and stakeholders on regulations across lending, embedded finance, deposit products, payments, and money movement.
• Expand Compliance Management Program for new financial products using AI tools.
• Own regulatory change management with Government & Regulatory Affairs.
• Translate complex regulations into clear guidance, controls, procedures, training, and documentation.
• Oversee product compliance controls, monitoring, risk assessments, and issue management.
• Support vendor due diligence, third-party risk, and audits.
• Partner to design AI-enabled workflows balancing automation with human review.
