Job summary

Choice Financial Group in Minnesota seeks a Manager of Financial Risk to lead and mature the Bank’s risk programs, including Model Risk Management, Stress Testing Oversight, Loan Review and Risk Analytics. This role partners across the Three Lines of Defense to ensure risk controls align with appetite and business growth.

You will drive governance, validation, and escalation processes, manage risk reporting, and collaborate with investment teams to monitor credit risk and portfolio exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related field.
• Master’s degree or FRM/CFA preferred.
• Proven ability to build, implement, and mature risk programs and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maturity of a comprehensive risk strategy from a Second Line of Defense perspective.
• Establish governance for model risk management, stress testing, loan review, and risk analytics programs.
• Oversee second line monitoring, model validation, and risk reporting across the enterprise.
