Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Risk Operations Support Manager to lead Model Risk Management governance, drive cross-functional initiatives, and coordinate committee reporting. You will partner with model owners, business and risk stakeholders, technology, and senior governance committees to ensure effective oversight and timely decision-making.

The role requires extensive experience in model risk governance, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise with data, documentation, and AI governance

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of relevant experience in model risk management, risk governance, or banking risk management.
• Three or more years of leadership or significant team-lead experience preferred.
• Experience supporting governance committees and senior management reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Model Risk Management governance activities, including standards and committee support.
• Manage cross-functional MRM projects, planning, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee Archer platform workflows, data quality, and reporting in partnership with tech teams.
• Handle model risk issues, remediation governance, and status reporting.
