Job summary

The SouthState Bank, National Association seeks a Risk Operations Support Manager to lead Model Risk Management governance and related initiatives. You will partner with model owners, stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure effective oversight and well-documented practices across the organization.

The role oversees data quality, documentation standards, and reporting for governance committees, while guiding a team to deliver timely results and continuous improvement in risk management

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in model risk management, governance, or related banking risk areas.
• 3+ years in leadership or people management roles.
• Experience supporting governance committees, senior management reporting, or regulatory/audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Model Risk Management governance activities, standards, and program reporting.
• Manage MRM projects, planning, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
• Oversee Archer platform workflows, data quality, reporting, and issue resolution with tech teams.
• Handle model risk issues, remediation governance, tracking, and status reporting.
• Oversee ongoing monitoring governance for timely completion and escalation of exceptions.
• Lead model and data documentation initiatives, inventories, data lineage, and governance records.
• Coordinate and score model risk assessments, tiering, inventory maintenance, and reviews.
• Support governance of end-user computing tools and AI use cases, and represent on the AI Governance Advisory Review Committee.
• Develop materials, dashboards, metrics, and presentations for committees and senior management.
