Job summary

Assurant is seeking a data-driven Financial & Operational Reporting Analyst in the United States to deliver high-quality reports and insights for FS clients. You will collaborate with Client Management, Operations, Accounting, and senior leadership to standardize reporting, ensure data integrity, and support growth clients through forecasting and profitability reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or reporting.
• Experience translating data insights into business recommendations and client-ready reporting.
• Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI and querying data using SQL.
• Experience with financial data, including forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency in Power BI; working knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver recurring and ad-hoc financial and operational reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly client and product-level reporting, including premium, losses, commissions, expense allocations, and profitability.
• Analyze financial operating variances and summarize key drivers of YTD and forecasted results versus prior forecast and plan.
• Design, develop, and execute data queries and dashboards (SQL/Power BI), validating data accuracy for forecasting and performance analysis.
• Identify data discrepancies, anomalies, and reporting errors; support root cause analysis of system, financial, or customer experience issues.
• Coordinate setup of new client structures to ensure accurate mapping of premiums, losses, and commissions.
