Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Professional to prepare, analyze, and distribute periodic financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong finance experience, advanced Excel and SQL skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with regulations.

The position supports consolidation processes, intercompany eliminations, and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive health, finance, accounting, or technical insurance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas and functions, lookups, data validation, data modeling, and analysis of large data sets.
• Strong SQL experience, including writing and modifying queries, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and extracting data for financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
• Experience facilitating and leading meetings with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute periodic financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and policies.
• Prepare consolidation journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary accounts for financial statements.
• Use advanced Excel and SQL to organize, validate, reconcile, and analyze large data sets; develop repeatable reporting processes; identify trends and exceptions.
