Job summary

Humana is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Professional to prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and reports for stakeholders. You will consolidate accounts, perform variance analysis, and translate complex data into actionable insights using Excel and SQL.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, supporting reporting processes, and guiding senior leaders on financial issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive health, finance, accounting, or technical insurance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas and functions, lookups, data validation, data modeling, and analysis of large data sets.
• Strong SQL experience, including writing and modifying queries, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and extracting data for financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience facilitating and leading meetings with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute periodic financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Consolidate journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts on a timely and accurate basis.
• Use advanced Excel and SQL to organize, validate, reconcile, and analyze large financial data sets; develop repeatable reporting processes; identify trends and exceptions; and support accurate reporting.
• Manage multiple recurring and ad hoc priorities daily, maintain documentation, track deadlines and dependencies, and adapt to changing business needs.
