Chubb in Puerto Rico is seeking a Finacial Lines Claims Adjuster to manage FI, E&O, EPL, Cyber, Environmental and D&O claims from notification to resolution, including coverage analysis, reserving, and settlements.

The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with claims law and processes, and the ability to work with underwriters, brokers, and external providers to deliver excellent service.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance.
• Juris Doctor and practicing attorney preferable.
• Valid adjuster’s license issued by the PR Insurance Commissioner Office, preferable.
• Strong analytical decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize while working in a changing environment.
• Solid understanding of the claims legal process and civil procedure rules.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong database skills.
• Advanced knowledge of English and Spanish.

Aufgaben

• Exercise judgment to analyze claims exposure and negotiate settlements with claimants, authorizing payments and reserves.
• Support Claims Management with quality handling and customer service; liaise with underwriters on issues and trends.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in claims assessment and identify suspect/fraudulent claims.
• Collaborate with other functions, brokers and providers to gather technical information for claims.
• Assist the Financial Lines Supervisor with larger and complex claims.
• Liaise with external providers to monitor service quality and costs; maintain good relationships.
• Demonstrate insurance coverage knowledge and manage litigation aspects of claims.
• Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
