Chubb External is seeking a Jr. Casualty Underwriter to analyze and underwrite general liability while balancing sales of Chubb’s insurance products with adherence to LOAs, Best Practices, and current underwriting appetite for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

Responsibilities include examining proposals, subscribing business, negotiating with brokers, and supporting policy issuance, claims, and endorsements as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Examine insurance proposals, gather and evaluate background information to assess risk.
• Subscribe business in accordance with corporate guidelines and analyze information from agents or brokers to determine best conditions of insurance and profitability.
• Negotiate deals with brokers/agents and respond to quotation requests and inquiries.
• Analyze, monitor and handle new business through brokers and renewal accounts assigned by Manager; maintain an updated list of accounts handled monthly.
• Track monthly production goals, ensure bound accounts are registered correctly and monitor planned production.
• Visit insurance producers regularly to attract potential prospects.
• Interact with brokers, customers, other underwriters and top management externally and internally.
• Assist Operations in policy issuance and support Claims in case of a claim to interpret underwriting intent.
• Create endorsements requested by producers or needed by special business.
• Present and explain covers to insureds and prospects when needed.
• Work with all department underwriters and perform specials projects as assigned.
