Job summary

CountryPlace Mortgage, a Plano, TX-based lender, seeks a Senior Financial Data Analyst to lead data modeling for investor transactions, pricing models, and risk management in a high-impact finance team. This in-person role focuses on data-driven insights, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate across Capital Markets, Risk, Legal, Operations and Technology, prepare data tapes and dashboards, support portfolio analyses, and guide governance documentation to support

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics required.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis in mortgage or financial services.
  • MSP experience preferred.
  • SQL experience and working with data warehouses.
  • Experience with Encompass and MSP preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities.

  • Lead data modeling for investor transactions and due diligence activities.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and validate investor data tapes and financial records for due diligence reviews.
  • Manage end-to-end transaction lifecycles including onboarding and governance documentation.
  • Coordinate investor and regulatory due diligence requests and inquiries.
  • Conduct financial modeling, portfolio analysis, data validation, and reporting.

About The Role

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a

  • Lead data modeling for investor transactions and due diligence activities for bulk and flow agreements, servicing transfers, approvals, renewals, and capital market transactions while ensuring timely execution and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare, reconcile, and validate investor data tapes, loan-level servicing data, and financial records for due diligence reviews, portfolio acquisitions, servicing transfers, investor onboarding, and regulatory reporting
  • Manage end-to-end transaction lifecycles, including onboarding, approvals, portfolio transfers, governance documentation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure operational readiness and audit transparency
  • Coordinate investor, stakeholder, and due diligence requests by providing financial, operational, servicing, and governance documentation while responding to investor, regulatory, rating agency, and audit inquiries
  • Conduct financial modeling, portfolio analysis, data validation, and quantitative reporting to support investment evaluations, lending decisions, transaction approvals, and governance initiatives
  • Partner with Capital Markets, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Product Management, Operations, Servicing, Technology, and Sales teams to support investment decisions, transaction execution, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external governance requirements while maintaining audit-ready documentation and regulatory adherence
  • Monitor transactions, servicing portfolios, operational performance metrics, and due diligence milestones while proactively identifying risks, escalating issues, and driving timely resolution
  • Analyze financial, operational, transactional, and servicing data using SQL, advanced Excel, and reporting tools to support investment decisions, identify risks, validate performance, and deliver actionable insights
  • Perform data mining, data analysis, quality assurance, and exception management across large datasets to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting accuracy and data integrity
  • Prepare executive presentations and deliver data-driven insights, transaction updates, portfolio analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
About The Role

This in-person role located in our Plano, TX office will focus on data modeling, pricing models, and risk management offering an exciting opportunity to work within a high-impact environment. Working closely with stakeholders to enhance reporting, optimize business processes, and contribute valuable insights to improve strategies, manage risk, and maximize profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead data modeling for investor transactions and due diligence activities for bulk and flow agreements, servicing transfers, approvals, renewals, and capital market transactions while ensuring timely execution and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare, reconcile, and validate investor data tapes, loan-level servicing data, and financial records for due diligence reviews, portfolio acquisitions, servicing transfers, investor onboarding, and regulatory reporting

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree required in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, in the mortgage or financial services industry
  • Mortgage industry or financial service industry experience strongly preferred
  • MSP experience preferred
  • SQL experience and working with data warehouses
  • Report automation tools a plus
  • Understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Familiarity with Secondary Marketing and Capital markets is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities
  • Experience with Encompass and MSP preferred
