Job summary

GreenieRe is building a modern finance function for a next‑generation insurance company. We seek a Senior Financial Controller to own accounting, reporting, controls and regulatory finance, partnering with the CFO to create scalable processes from the ground up.

You’ll drive monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, oversee statutory and GAAP reporting, and lead reinsurance accounting and regulatory submissions as the business scales.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification with significant insurance or reinsurance finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of statutory insurance accounting and US GAAP.
• Experience within P&C insurance, reinsurance, captives or specialty insurance markets.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• The confidence to challenge, improve and build processes rather than simply maintain them.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes.
• Lead statutory and GAAP financial reporting.
• Manage reinsurance accounting, reserving and financial controls.
• Drive audit readiness and regulatory reporting.

We're looking for a Senior Financial Controller to become one of the most influential hires in the company. Working directly with the CFO, you'll build the finance infrastructure that underpins our growth while taking ownership of accounting, financial reporting, controls and regulatory finance.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit mature processes—you'll create them.

The Opportunity

You'll lead the development of a best-in-class finance function, partnering with external auditors, actuaries, tax advisers and service providers while ensuring GreenieRe has robust, scalable financial operations.

You’ll play a key role in:

• Building and owning the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process.
• Leading statutory and GAAP financial reporting.
• Managing reinsurance accounting, reserving and financial controls.
• Driving audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
• Improving finance systems, automation and reporting infrastructure.
• Supporting Board reporting, capital planning and strategic decision making as the business scales.

About You
