Job summary

Databricks is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for the Sales Finance (Topline Analytics) team within FP&A. You will own key parts of bookings and cash forecasts and collaborate with Sales Strategy & Operations to advise finance leadership.

The role requires building scalable financial models, deep GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel/Sheets skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-growing software company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or comparable field.
• 3+ years of corporate finance, management consulting, or investment banking experience; familiarity with software/SaaS is a plus.
• Experience building financial models independently and making recommendations.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to simplify and scale for fast-moving, high-growth business.
• Curiosity to learn and solve problems independently.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Expert in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable with large datasets and driver-based models.
• Prior experience using SQL or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Bookings forecasting - own and refine the bookings forecast.
• Cash forecasting - build and maintain the cash collections forecast (linking consumption, bookings, and billings).
• Partner with sales strategy and sales operations, and provide recommendations to finance leadership.
• High visibility role to senior leadership across Finance and Sales.
