Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a Sr Financial Analyst I to provide financial and commercial oversight for a portfolio of remote operating sites, including month-end close, forecast and budgets, and ad hoc analysis. This role partners with operations, procurement, and engineering to improve financial performance.

You will lead site-level revenue controls, develop quarterly targets, review working capital, and support contract renewals and new business awards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance or accounting.
• 5+ years experience in finance or accounting.
• 5+ years of Commercial Finance experience, required.
• Logistics industry experience, required.
• Advanced accounting knowledge: P&L and balance sheet.
• Effective communication skills; verbal & written.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels; team player.
• Advanced analytical skills; draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations.
• Ability to work with ambiguity to solve issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve remote sites month-end close.
• Develop monthly forecasts and annual budgets for assigned sites.
• Analyze financial performance and explain variances.
• Train and develop site managers in sound commercial and financial processes.
• Review working capital and assist in collections and customer credit.
• Develop site targets in support of the annual budget.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and consolidation reporting.
• Certify balance sheet reconciliations and ensure controls.
• Participate in interviewing OBAs at the site.
• Provide financial support for complex commercial proposals.
• Develop pricing scenarios for pursuit teams.
• Manage approval for contract renewals and new awards.
• Influence site financial and commercial risk decisions.
• Approve capital expenditures for new business.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Real Estate, Contract Administration, and Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve earnings and cash flow.
• Address billing and revenue issues commercially.
• Support strategy, prioritization, and resource allocation with executives.
• Lead cross-functional teams on strategy and cost initiatives.
