Job summary

Tri Pointe Homes DC Metro in Potomac, MD is seeking a Financial Analyst to support management with forecasts, reports and analyses that improve operational effectiveness. You will build financial models, perform variance and trend analyses, and contribute to monthly close and budget processes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years in a financial analyst role, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of Financial Analyst experience; MBA preferred.
• Experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and BI.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Real estate industry knowledge preferred; JD Edwards, Salesforce, Hyphen Solutions desired.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis on key operating results.
• Design, create, and deliver standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Support month-end close including asset reclassifications and cost allocations.
• Monitor gross margin variances and backlog/closing margins.
• Develop reports to track operational and financial performance against objectives.
• Review detailed job costs vs. budget and assist with revisions.
• Collaborate with VP Finance on annual/quarterly business plans with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze trends, provide insights, and support audits and special projects.
