Job summary

Tri Pointe Homes DC Metro is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst near Potomac, MD. The role supports management with forecasts, reports, models, and analyses to improve operational effectiveness.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years in a Financial Analyst role, and proficiency in Excel. JD Edwards, Salesforce, and Hyphen Solutions familiarity is a plus. Base salary ranges with bonus eligibility are offered, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in a Financial Analyst position or related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, data analysis, report writing, and business intelligence.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Experience with JD Edwards, Salesforce, and Hyphen Solutions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis on key operating results.
• Design, create, and deliver standard and ad-hoc reports on operational and financial metrics.
• Support month-end close related to asset re-classifications and cost allocations.
• Monitor and investigate gross margin variances/trends of backlog and closing margins.
• Develop or update reports to track key performance metrics against strategic objectives.
• Review budgeted job costs vs. actual and assist with budget revisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support annual and quarterly plans.
• Analyze historical results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend actions.
• Assist leadership with special projects related to profitability and efficiency.
• Create financial models for strategic initiatives and risk assessments.
• Analyze construction spend trends on lots and support audits and data requests.
