Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is assisting a PE-backed SaaS organization in Boston, MA, to hire a Senior FP&A Analyst. The role partners with Marketing and Go-to-Market leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, modeling, and business partnering.

You will own Marketing OPEX budgeting, develop financial models for growth initiatives, analyze headcount and spend, and support month-end close and quarterly planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
• 3+ years FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and modeling skills.
• Experience partnering with business leaders.
• Experience in SaaS/tech or high-growth environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Senior FP&A Analyst

Our client, a PE-backed SaaS organization, is looking to add a Senior FP&A Analyst to its FP&A team. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with Marketing and Go-to-Market leadership while supporting the continued growth and expansion of the business.

The Senior FP&A Analyst will own key FP&A activities across Marketing and GTM, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and business partnering. This individual will also work closely with teams supporting new product initiatives, providing financial analysis and insights around investment, performance, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting and forecasting for Marketing operating expenses, including ongoing forecast updates and long-range planning
• Partner closely with Marketing and GTM leaders to understand business drivers, spending trends, and investment priorities
• Perform monthly budget-to-actual and variance analysis, identifying key drivers and communicating actionable insights
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
• Support financial planning and analysis for new products and growth initiatives
• Analyze headcount, vendor spend, program investments, and other key operating expense drivers
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment opportunities, ROI, and financial tradeoffs
• Prepare recurring reporting and presentations for FP&A and senior leadership
• Monitor financial and operating KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support month-end close activities in partnership with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting and expense recognition
• Assist with annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and longer-term strategic planning processes
• Drive improvements to FP&A reporting, modeling, and planning processes as the organization continues to scale
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support GTM and broader business initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial analysis experience
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
• Experience supporting operating expenses and partnering directly with business leaders
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Ability to translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations for non-finance stakeholders
• Strong communication and business-partnering skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience within SaaS, technology, or another high-growth environment preferred
• Exposure to Marketing, Sales, GTM, or product-focused financial analysis is a plus
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment with evolving priorities

Salary: $90K–$115K base + bonus
