Job summary

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Senior Director of Finance & Planning and the CFO. The role focuses on budgeting, invoicing, and reporting compliance for agency grants and contracts, with forecasting responsibility and ad-hoc analysis as requested.

The candidate will prepare contract invoices, review ledgers, monitor spending, and contribute to project work such as budget model improvements and cost allocations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting or financial management and analysis experience.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, FASB 116 & 117; experience with government contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly contract invoices to various public funding agencies.
• Maintain documentation to support contract requirements and annual audits.
• Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Review general ledger and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor, forecast and report progress on contract and grant spending.
