Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr Financial Analyst to join the Leo project, a ground-floor initiative to design, launch and sustain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites delivering high-speed broadband worldwide. You will forecast, analyze, and report AWS and Leo infrastructure costs, build complex financial models, and partner with VPs, Directors, and program managers to fund capital investments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
• 3+ years identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• 3+ years dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
• 3+ years contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field.
• Must meet export control requirements (U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or eligible refugee/asylee).

Responsibilities

• Finance subject matter expert of Amazon Leo cloud computing consumption.
• Develop strong relationships with AWS Infrastructure and Leo teams and business partners.
• Forecast AWS usage (IMR) and Leo-specific Capex costs to support global Leo operations.
• Build financial models estimating Leo cloud costs for negotiations with AWS and customers.
• Develop metrics to monitor forecasts and usage and provide recommendations to leadership.
