Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or direct and applicable work experience.
4+ years of accounting/auditing experience with GAAP and SAP concepts.
Experience preparing, reviewing, or auditing GAAP and Statutory financial statements and NAIC regulatory reports.
Experience researching and documenting GAAP and Statutory accounting conclusions.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to protect confidential information.
Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills.
Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication with senior management.
Ability to work independently and on teams; maintain positive relationships.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to produce accurate reports.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.

Responsibilities

Prepare internal and external financial statements and reports per accounting guidelines and regulatory rules, including NAIC filings and CMS reports.
Create formal management financial reports at product line and legal entity levels with variance analysis.
Present financial data to management and assist leadership in monitoring performance.
Research and report GAAP, SAP, NAIC guidelines and related policy updates.
Prepare and review journal entries and reconcile balances.
Allocate administrative expenses across entities and market segments; model scenarios.
Allocate operating revenue and expenses; consider NAIC and CMS reporting.
Maintain documentation supporting internal controls and assist audits/regulatory exams.
Represent Finance on cross-functional projects requiring financial expertise.
Perform other duties as assigned.
