Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a senior accountant to own the preparation of SAP and GAAP financial statements, NAIC schedules, and regulatory filings. The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting audits, ensuring strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, insurance industry experience, and public accounting exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Insurance industry experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Established project management skills.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual Statutory Accounting Practices (SAP) and GAAP financial statements with analyses, schedules and disclosures.
• Prepare periodic NAIC financial statement schedules and exhibits and regulatory filings.
• Prepare reconciliations for GAAP and STAT accounting bases.
• Prepare routine monthly/quarterly journal entries.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline and apply policy/strategy.
• Support internal and external audits.
