Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join our hybrid team with travel across Yulee, FL, West Palm Beach, FL, Newark, DE and Dover, DE. The role focuses on consolidating management reports, budgeting, and KPI analysis to drive strategic decisions.

You’ll develop financial forecasts, support capital investment studies, and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions. Strong ERP and analytics tool experience, plus excellent communication, are essential for success

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Accounting/Finance or a related business field.
• Minimum of 5 years of business planning, financial analysis, or other related finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and analytics tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau) required.
• Regular driver’s license.
• Basic accounting knowledge (GAAP, accruals).
• Experience in utility industry or FP&A is preferred.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Prepares consolidated summary presentations for senior management’s review.
• Supports development of strategic plan, budgets, performance indicators, and targets.
• Produces monthly reporting with variance analysis against prior year, budget, and forecast.
• Performs complex financial forecasting and modeling.
• Captures and reports KPIs and analyzes variances.
• Assists in merger and acquisition proforma and analysis.
• Partner with operations and corporate functions to gather data for filings and reports.
• Continuously improves financial processes and reporting to boost efficiency.
