Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join our hybrid team with occasional travel across Yulee, FL, West Palm Beach, FL, Newark, DE, and Dover, DE. You will support strategic planning, budgeting, and variance analyses while partnering with operations and corporate functions to drive financial insight.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree in accounting/finance with at least 5 years of FP&A experience, strong ERP/BI tool skills, and excellent communication and

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of FP&A or business planning experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and analytics tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau).
• Regular driver's license and basic GAAP knowledge.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Proven ability to streamline processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated summary presentations for senior management's review.
• Support strategic plan, budgets, performance indicators, and target benchmarks.
• Produce monthly reporting package with variance analysis vs prior year, budget, and forecast.
• Perform complex financial forecasting, modeling and trend analysis.
• Capture and report KPIs, highlight trends and variances.
• Prepare feasibility studies for capital investments.
