Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join our finance team in a hybrid role, located in Dover, NJ, DE or FL options. The analyst will support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, partnering with operations and corporate functions to enable data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in financial planning/analysis, strong ERP and analytics tool experience (SAP, Power BI, Qlik, Tableau), and excellent communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of business planning, financial analysis, or related finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and analytics tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau).
• Regular driver's license and basic accounting knowledge (GAAP).
• Experience in utilities or FP&A roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated summary presentations for senior management.
• Support development of strategic plan, budgets, KPIs, and benchmarks.
• Produce monthly reports with variance analysis against prior year, budget, and forecast.
• Perform complex financial forecasting, modeling and trend analysis.
• Capture and report KPIs, analyze variances and trends.
• Prepare feasibility studies for capital investments and analyze cost allocations.
• Assist in merger and acquisition proforma analysis and data collection for filings.
• Identify process improvements to financial reporting and planning.
