Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

The role includes month-end close, forecasting, cost/productivity initiatives, training, and SOX compliance, with a liaison to Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting. Travel to HQ occurs twice a month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Related field, Required
• Master's Degree in MBA, Preferred
• Two (2) years to Four (4) years or more in Experience in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm, Required
• 5 years or more in Post MBA, Preferred
• Must be proficient with computers to include MS Office Intermediate, Required

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, GL research
• Operational Initiatives: cost/productivity improvement opportunities
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis
• Training: financial training to Business Unit staff
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: branch audits to ensure SOX compliance
• Corporate: liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting
