The APAC Stores FP&A team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join our consumer business in Australia. You will lead the overall FP&A function for the Singapore Stores and play a critical role in the business decision-making process through driving key operating mechanisms and delivering relevant insights and analysis objectively. You will also drive continuous improvements to our processes, especially through automation as we scale the business. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, analytical, detail-oriented, and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

Key Job Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

1. Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly mechanisms to support delivery of business goals
2. Lead planning and reporting cycles with leadership teams
3. Deliver insights and analysis objectively to support the decision-making process, using relevant data and benchmarks
4. Gatekeeper for integrity and accuracy of Amazon’s data across various financial databases
5. Identify and drive opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 4+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis
- Excellent attention to detail, takes ownership of your work to deliver results, strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
