Job summary

Construction Resources in Decatur, GA seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A to support executives with reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision support.

You will own month-end close processes, build executive-level presentations, and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify profitability and efficiency opportunities. The role requires strong financial acumen and data-driven insights, with a focus on tooling and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
  • MBA, FMVA, CMA, FPAC, or other relevant certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance experience.
  • Experience supporting executive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience in multi-location or multi-business-unit organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for executive leadership.
  • Analyze financial results and drivers of performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year performance.
  • Support M&A integrations, new markets, acquisitions, and organizational changes through financial reporting and analysis.
  • Serve as a finance business partner to functional leaders, providing financial insights that support operational decision-making.
  • Translate financial results, trends, and variances into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business drivers, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Support leaders with ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and financial guidance for strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level financial presentations and board-quality reporting packages.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial reporting and presentation materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Develop and maintain standardized financial reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Improve reporting architecture, account mappings, and financial hierarchies.
  • Assist with implementation and enhancement of reporting and planning systems.
  • Create documentation and standard operating procedures for recurring FP&A processes.
  • Support the monthly close and distribution of management reports.
  • Maintain reporting structures and data quality for accurate reporting.

Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, responsible for supporting executive leadership through financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, business performance analysis, and strategic decision support.

The Senior Financial Analyst will lead critical month-end reporting processes, develop executive-level financial presentations, and identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automation.

This role will serve as a trusted business partner to cross-functional leaders, translating financial results into actionable insights that support operational decisions and company-wide initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses strong financial acumen, advanced analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights.

The candidate should be ambitious, intellectually curious, and eager to leverage emerging tools and technology to improve how financial insights are developed, communicated, and acted upon.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for executive leadership.
  • Analyze financial results and drivers of performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior year performance.

Business Partnering

Month-End Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation, maintenance, and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages and management reports.
  • Maintain financial reporting structures, hierarchies, and organizational data to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Partner with Accounting and business leaders to validate financial results and support month-end close activities.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
  • MBA, FMVA, CMA, FPAC, or other relevant certification preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance experience.
  • Experience supporting executive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience in multi-location or multi-business-unit organizations preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Financial modeling
    • Power Query
    • Advanced formulas and data analysis
  • Advanced PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial consolidation and planning systems is a plus.
