Job summary

Objective Partners is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its corporate finance team in Chicago. The role provides financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, able to manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships across the organization with strong Excel and CPA-aligned credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a related discipline.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Financial services or other professional services experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, GAAP, and consolidation concepts.
• Exposure to cost accounting or allocation methodologies preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial planning, reporting, or ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Build reporting and analysis that provide insight into key business and financial drivers.
• Partner with business leaders to develop accurate projections and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Develop ad hoc financial metrics and analyze operational performance and efficiency.
• Support financial modeling related to new products, strategic initiatives, and potential transactions.
• Perform profitability analysis and identify opportunities for process and financial improvements.
• Analyze budget and forecast variances, identify trends, and provide meaningful commentary to leadership.
• Assist with quarterly financial reporting and presentation materials for senior leadership.
• Support general accounting activities, including P&L analysis and month-end reporting.
• Contribute to additional financial and analytical projects as needed.
