Job summary

Mesirow Financial is seeking a full-time Sr. Analyst in the Corporate Services Division in Chicago. You will provide decision-support analytics to senior management and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities include maintaining budgeting models, producing driver-based reports, and collaborating across teams to refine projections, identify risks and opportunities, and develop ad-hoc metrics. Knowledge of GAAP and Netsuite/Axiom EPM is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• CPA preferred; financial services background a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and consolidation accounting.
• Extensive Excel knowledge and ability to build robust analyses.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain budgeting and financial projection models.
• Build reports showing driver-based analytics for financials.
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure accurate projections and identify risks/opportunities.
• Develop ad-hoc financial metrics and efficiency analyses.
• Participate in development of M&A models on new products/transactions.
• Drive profitability analysis and process improvements.
• Prepare commentary on budget/forecast variances for leadership.
• Support quarterly Board presentation packages.
• Perform general accounting and month-end close reporting.
