Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree with required accounting credits and relevant supervisory experience.
  • 15 accounting credits must be completed as part of degree requirements.
  • Experience in financial management, budgeting and supervision is required.
  • Knowledge of federal grants-in-aid rules, especially uniform administration is essential.
  • Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and coordinate with auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to department head; advises on budgetary issues and funding availability.
  • Prepares financial reports and annual budgets; maintains accounts and records.
  • Supervises accounting staff and assigns tasks for monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitors federal funds transfer and territory expenditures; coordinates with auditors.
