Job summary

Southwest Search is seeking a senior finance leader to develop and manage financial models evaluating performance and growth strategies. You will analyze investments, capital projects, and strategic initiatives, building detailed analyses with sensitivities and downside scenarios.

You will prepare materials for senior leadership, support capital raising efforts, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align plans with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in finance, investment banking, corporate development, or a related field.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and a strong understanding of valuation, investment analysis, and capital markets.
  • Experience evaluating investments, acquisitions, capital projects, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with financial reporting and analytical tools.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to translate complex financial analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and take ownership of key financial initiatives.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and ongoing management of financial models used to evaluate business performance, growth initiatives, and capital decisions.
  • Analyze prospective investments and strategic initiatives, including major capital projects, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities.
  • Build detailed financial analyses incorporating return profiles, key sensitivities, operating assumptions, and potential downside scenarios.
  • Prepare financial materials and recommendations to support senior leadership in evaluating significant business and investment decisions.
  • Support capital raising and financing activities associated with both existing operations and future growth initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external capital partners throughout financing and other strategic processes.
  • Monitor key financial requirements and obligations associated with existing financing arrangements.
  • Lead financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial projections.
  • Evaluate actual performance against forecasts and budgets, identify key business drivers, and provide detailed variance analysis.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to incorporate operational and commercial assumptions into financial plans and models.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership across a variety of business initiatives.
  • Develop and improve financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools as the organization continues to grow.
  • Help ensure investment decisions, financial plans, and capital priorities are aligned with broader business objectives.
