Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst II to join the Asset-Liability Management team in Newport Beach. The role is on-site 4 days a week with one remote day, supporting funding, liquidity analysis, and ALM performance.

You'll build models, forecast cash needs, and deliver insights to senior leadership. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in financial analysis or FP&A, a finance-related degree, and proficiency in Excel plus SQL/Python/R/VBA and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, treasury, investments, ALM, or related finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience performing complex financial analysis, forecasting, scenario analysis, and explaining trends and risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bi-weekly enterprise funding and cash reports; analyze cash flows, funding needs, and liquidity positions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, forecasts, and projection methodologies for ALM performance.
• Prepare management reports and analyses that synthesize complex results and identify key drivers and risks.
• Partner with Divisional Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Actuarial, Investment Operations, and others to reconcile data and inform decisions.
• Maintain robust reporting controls, documentation, and review procedures for data integrity and auditability.
• Improve efficiency and scalability of analysis through process redesign, automation, Snowflake-based data solutions, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools.
• Support ad hoc initiatives and team reporting needs.
