Job summary

Netlify is seeking a finance professional to own the end-to-end monthly close, maintain the 3-statement operating model, and drive driver-based forecasting. You will manage headcount and software/vendor spend, oversee a KPI layer including ARR and CAC payback, and ensure data integrity across reports.

The role emphasizes automation of close cycles, AI-driven tooling improvements, and building repeatable processes.

• Own the monthly reporting cycle end to end: actuals load, budget vs. actuals, variance commentary, management reporting package.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and run the 3-statement operating model and driver-based forecast, including reforecast mechanics and scenario updates.
• Own headcount and software/vendor expense forecasting, and track actuals against approved budget throughout the month.
• Maintain the company-level KPI and metrics layer – ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, Rule of 40.
• Own Pigment model hygiene, integrations, and report building, ensuring data integrity as the source of truth.
• Build and maintain department-level budget tracking reports, and support department leaders with budget coverage.
• Partner with GTM leadership on sales planning and KPI tracking; be the go-to for spend/headcount questions.
• Drive automation of monthly close and forecast cycles using AI and tooling improvements, reducing cycle time.
• Document processes so they are repeatable and auditable.
• Build internal tooling to improve financial reporting and budget workflows, moving away from spreadsheet dependency.

Job description

• Maintain and run the 3-statement operating model and driver-based forecast, including reforecast mechanics and scenario updates
• Own headcount and software/vendor expense forecasting, and track actuals against approved budget throughout the month
• Maintain the company-level KPI and metrics layer – ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, Rule of 40 – including data integrity and the reporting built on top of it
• Own Pigment model hygiene, integrations, and report building, keeping the system reliable and well-structured as our source of truth
• Build and maintain department-level budget tracking reports, and support department leaders with regular coverage of budget, headcount, and software spend
• Partner with GTM leadership on sales team planning and KPI tracking, serving as a reliable point of contact for spend and headcount questions
• Drive automation of manual work in the monthly close and forecast cycles using AI and tooling improvements, with measurable reduction in cycle time
• Document processes so they’re repeatable, auditable, and not dependent on any one person
• Build internal tooling to improve financial reporting and budget workflows, moving the team off spreadsheet-dependent processes over time

The salary provided is in addition to robust benefits and participation in Netlify’s equity plan. Our hiring range for this role is targeted at $97,000 – $132,000 for most US-based locations. Candidates outside the US or in premium markets should consult with their Talent Acquisition partner regarding location-based ranges, as they may be higher or lower than the average US range listed. The starting pay will be determined based on multiple factors, including expertise and skills, market demands, experience, internal equity, and applicable geographic location. These compensation packages and ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future.
