Career Group Search’s client, a leading accountancy and consultancy serving the hospitality industry, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Midtown NYC to build financial models, analyze performance, and drive strategic initiatives for restaurant concepts globally.

You will work directly with founders, operators, and investors, delivering insights that enhance profitability, efficiency, and growth across hospitality portfolios.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, or consulting—hospitality/retail focus preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and performance drivers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to distill data into insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for multi-unit restaurant and hospitality businesses.
• Analyze P&L statements, unit-level performance, and key operating metrics for margin improvement.
• Support client CFOs and managers with monthly reporting, variance analysis, and board materials.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop dashboards and reporting templates to improve visibility across revenue streams, labor costs, and COGS.

Our client, a leading accountancy and consultancy serving the hospitality industry, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team! You’ll play a key role in developing financial models, analyzing performance, and supporting strategic initiatives for some of the most exciting restaurant concepts and groups worldwide. This role will work directly with founders, operators, and investors across the hospitality industry, delivering financial insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Midtown NYC

Hybrid:

3 days on-site, 2 days remote

Compensation:

$90-120k base salary + bonus & benefits

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for multi-unit restaurant and hospitality businesses.
• Analyze P&L statements, unit-level performance, and key operating metrics to identify opportunities for margin improvement and growth.
• Support client CFOs and managers with monthly reporting, variance analysis, and board/investor materials.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Assist in developing dashboards and reporting templates to improve visibility across revenue streams, labor costs, and COGS.
• Participate in client calls and meetings to discuss financial performance, projections, and strategic decisions.
• Conduct industry and market research to help contextualize client performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and exceptional client service.

Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, or consulting—ideally within the hospitality, retail, or multi-unit industries.
• Proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling and comfort building models from scratch.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and performance drivers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill data into clear insights and tell a financial story.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members and client partners.
• Experience working with restaurant operators or hospitality businesses is a plus, but not required.
