Job summary

Texas Capital Bank seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in its Technology Finance team in Dallas. The role provides direct financial oversight and decision support for technology initiatives, blending planning with analytics to inform leadership decisions.

You will partner with Technology Leadership, manage FP&A and monthly closes, analyze ROI/NPV for investments, and help deploy cost models (Apptio) while driving efficiency and cost controls across IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of related financial analysis and planning experience.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with cost modeling tools such as Apptio, Hyperion, or SmartView.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key partner to the Technology Leadership Team; assist in driving modernization of client experiences while ensuring technology resiliency and security.
  • Manage financial planning, business analysis, and the monthly financial close process to inform decision making.
  • Provide ROI/NPV analysis for investment decisions and build strong business partnerships.
  • Drive analytics projects and support implementation/maintenance of cost allocation (Apptio) and IT planning platforms.
  • Develop bottoms-up forecasts and monitor results against plan; support cost reduction initiatives in IT.

The position provides opportunities to work directly with senior business executives and finance department leadership in identifying trends and creating forecasts. This role has strong analytics focus and will require a self-motivated, action-oriented strategic thinker who can prioritize, communicate and collaborate to build relationships across departmental lines, and drive projects to successful completion.Responsibilities:Be a key partner to the Technology Leadership Team; assisting in driving change to modernize client experiences while ensuring technology resiliency and securityManage financial planning, business analysis, and the monthly financial close process to inform decision makingExposure to business cases to support investment decisions by determining ROI and NPVBuild strong business partnerships at multiple levels while informing and influencing strategic decisionsDrive to structure and lead analytical and other decision-support projectsAcquire in-depth understanding of a complex and challenging business enterpriseSupport the implementation, onboarding and maintenance of a new cost allocation, IT Planning and TCO platform for the technology organization (Apptio)Build analytics to reduce cost in IT by locating inefficiencies. Drive business partners to solution from unit economics and benchmarking.Establish strong financial controls and rigor of the technology procurement pipeline prioritization and delivery processGenerate and/or optimize supply and demand cycle across labor and non-labor resource channels, while also reducing and minimizing tech debt through rationalizationBuild Opex discipline across technology organization by incorporating iterative input from leadership, providing detailed bottoms up forecasts, and reviewing results against forecast on a consistent basisRequirements:An undergraduate degreeA minimum of 5 years of related financial/business analysis and planning experienceInitiative to identify business questions, scope and logically structure an analysis, extract relevant insights, and communicate with a point of viewProblem solver attitude with a curious mindsetSelf-motivated, results-oriented self-starterAdept leadership skillsAbility to build relationships with, and provide thought leadership to officers of TCBExperience thriving in a dynamic and fast-moving work environmentExperience effectively managing several work streams and projects concurrentlySuperior analytical skills and attention to detailStrong communication (written and oral) and partnering skillsUnderstanding of accounting principles and finance concepts such as Capex, Opex, NPV and ROIExperience sourcing data from database applications and working efficiently with large data setsStrong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and financial modelingPreferred:Prior experience supporting a technology organizationPrior experience working in the financial services industryExperience working with enterprise financial planning systems such as Oracle SmartView, Hyperion, Apptio or other cost modeling tool experienceMBA/CPA or similar degree/certificationThe duties listed above are the essential functions, or fundamental duties within the job classification.
