Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in California. This newly created role supports senior finance leadership and provides exposure to executive-level decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of FP&A experience and a background in accounting or public accounting, with strong Excel modeling and communication skills. This role offers visibility and opportunities for career progression.

Our client, a large and well-established company with over $1 billion in annual revenue, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This newly created role will support senior finance leadership and provide direct exposure to executive-level decision-making.

This position is ideal for a high-performing finance or accounting professional early in their career who is looking to take the next step into a highly visible FP&A role. Candidates with 2-3 years of FP&A experience, public accounting experience, or an accounting background that has transitioned into financial analysis are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the annual operating plan (AOP), budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting to support business decisions
• Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools
• Analyze financial and operational performance and provide actionable insights
• Prepare management reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses
• Partner with accounting and business leaders on planning and performance initiatives
• Monitor key financial metrics and assist with strategic planning efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-3 years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or public accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accruals, and financial statements
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven track record of high performance and career progression

Preferred Background

• Experience coming from a public accounting firm and transitioning into finance
• Understanding of annual operating plans and financial forecasting methodologies
• Ability to explain and discuss financial models, analyses, and projects in detail
• Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and grow within a finance organization
