Job summary

Texas A&M University is seeking an Enrollment Specialist - Financial Aid Advisor III to counsel students on scholarships, loans, grants, and military education benefits. The role supports current and prospective McAllen students with one-on-one and group advising, schedules, and presentations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in financial aid or related services, strong customer service skills, bilingual Spanish preferred, and the ability to manage deadlines with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years in financial aid, scholarships, student veterans services or related experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Advise and counsel students, parents, and prospective students on scholarships, loans, grants, and financial counseling.
• Assist with resolving questions and complaints; provide loan and indebtedness counseling.
• Review and interpret complex financial aid rules and procedures; support colleges and departments as needed.
• Develop and present training seminars on topics within the team’s area of expertise.
