Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience / Knowledge / Skills: One (1) year of related experience.
• Knowledge of work processing and spreadsheet applications is required.
• Effective Oral and written communication skill is required.
• Demonstrated Customer service skills is required.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to organize and make decisions independently.
• Ability to travel to scholarship programs and other visits throughout Texas is required.
• Ability to work beyond normal office hours and/or weekends.
• Licensing/Professional Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews federal and state publications to improve financial aid processes.
• Assist in developing financial aid operating forms to increase efficiency.
• Assists in data collection and Cost of Attendance budgets.
• Handles data input and calculations for reporting requirements.
• Performs public speaking at outreach events.
• Advises and counsels students on financial aid and scholarships.
• Communicates via email, phone, and meetings with students.
• Works on assigned exception reports for processing.
