Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Senior Fiscal Administrator to lead a comprehensive financial program within the Finance Department at 415 Silver Ave SW. You will oversee budgeting, reporting, procurement, and internal controls while managing staff and resources to ensure fiscal accountability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and nine years of related experience, including two years in a managerial position. Remote & flex-work options may apply in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Nine (9) years of related work experience in a progressively responsible accounting/financial role.
• Two (2) years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Administer a comprehensive financial program for a major department within Bernalillo County.
• Provide leadership in planning, developing, and implementing fiscal policies and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, and internal controls.
• Manage staff and resources to achieve operational efficiency and fiscal accountability.
• Supervise and evaluate division staff performance and workflow.
